On the road to recovery

Today was a rough one, although lots of positive reflection on the race. I had a blast and can't wait to give it another try. It was great mixing it up with all the SLU teams but I reserve some special love for my own Masta Killaz teammates. I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure with you f*&@faces, and would gladly run up mountains and through streams again with you dudes.

Get out now!

Great job putting it all together Sammy. Derek and I have made a pact to start to train for next year, which today means trying to walk down stairs facing forward again. I'm doing better going up them now. Running maybe tomorrow.

Three days later and people at the office still look at me and ask "Are you OK?" as I walk from building to building here at Emory. My dogs knocked me over when I got home from Vermont and it took me about 30 minutes to get up the nerve to get up again.

Anyway, it was great to be back home for a little while. I got to see old teammates and roommates and reconnect with St. Lawrence. I can't wait to come up again!
